The World Bank is set to reopen its office in Tripoli after nearly six years, following talks between Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah and the bank’s Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa, Osman Dione.

The decision marks a significant step in Libya’s efforts to restore international financial ties and boost economic stability. The office was closed in 2019 amid ongoing political unrest.

According to Libyan officials, the agreement includes a series of initiatives supported by the World Bank, focusing on government transparency, digital transformation, and institutional reform.
