Zallaf Libyan Oil and Gas company has disclosed plans to resume activities at the Eraun field, located southwest of the country, by the middle of next year, confirming their intention to drill the first exploration well in the concession (MN 174) next November.

As part of the preparations, Zallaf's officials met with the General Administration of Petroleum Industries at the National Oil Corporation to discuss the company's general activity in terms of health, safety, and environment, besides the progress of project implementation and percentages of completion.

Last July, Zallaf anticipated a production rate of 3,000 barrels of oil a day from two wells in the Eraun field during a development process prepared by the company.
