Zawiya Power Station

The Zawiya Combined Power Station's General Manager, Mohamed Al-Habbouli, has announced ongoing efforts to activate the station's second unit, contributing an additional 50 megawatts to the national grid.

Al-Habbouli confirmed the completion of initial operational tests for the second unit after extensive maintenance.

Currently, the team is diligently monitoring the unit's readings in preparation for its integration into the national electricity grid.

Previously, the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) convened with Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company to explore methods of supplying electrical power from the national grid to the South Refinery Project.
