The Derna branch of Libyan Red Crescent, in coordination with charities in the city, distributed Monday food baskets to the needy displaced families in Al-Fatayeh district.

The LRC said on its webpage that the food baskets included oil, sugar, halva, cheese, flour, milk, salt, tomato paste, and macaroni, and were given for more than 300 families.

The Aid official in the Libyan Red Crescent, Derna, Salem Ben Saoud said that this charity is the second during Ramadan, thanking the Shahat-located Shabab Al-Jabal club that contributed most of the food materials.

The first aids convoy was distributed in the beginning of Ramadan to more than 300 displaced families as well in Derna.
