A group of tourists and desert lovers called "the desert Jeep's friends" arrived in Samnu town, northeast of Sabha, on July 16, in a trip that aims to spread love and tolerance among the Libyans and to convey a message to the rest of the world that in spite of the ongoing fighting in some parts of the country, there is still national cohesion among Libyan compatriots.

The trip that lasted 22 days set off from Burik district in Obari on June 26 under the slogan of "Libya binds us".

14 four-wheel drive vehicles from different cities and villages of the south participated in the trip, touring most of the villages and cities in the south and east, including the city of Sabha, Wadi Al-Bawanis and Jufra, and from there to Marada, Ajdabiya and Benghazi until they reached the city of Tobruk, passing through the cities of the Green Mountain, Al-Bayda, Shahat and Sousse.

The team has received a warm welcome upon their arrival in Samnu from local residents and the Municipality of Wadi Al-Bawanis.
