Clashes broke out Wednesday in the city of Surman, west Libya, between local fighters and a group of IS fugitives of Tunisian nationality.

10 Tunisian terrorists, including women, were killed in the clashes, which took place in the south of Surman, a city to the east of Sabratha. A woman and her child, who was injured in the clashes, were arrested.

The IS group has fled from Sabratha after the massive crackdown on IS affiliates there.

Meanwhile, Tunisian security forces clashed with another group of IS fugitives in the border city of Ben Guerdane, killing 5 militants who believed to have fled from Libya following the crackdown operation in Sabratha.

On Tuesday, Sabratha Military Council announced the formation of a joint force and a common operations room to hunt IS militants and their supporters.
