Sources from Misrata Municipality confirmed that the number of injured people due to a fire that broke out in the Courts Complex has risen to 16 people, including two serious cases.
The Municipality explained on its Facebook page that the fire was completely controlled after the intervention of the National Safety Authority, ambulance, security services and specialized teams. It indicated that the competent authorities continued to follow up on the situation and assess the damage while taking the necessary measures.
Misrata Medical Center announced that the accident and emergency department had received nine cases of suffocation due to the fire. The center explained that the cases were dealt with in the center's resuscitation rooms, and two critical cases were housed in intensive care. It indicated that the emergency department raised the state of readiness for the possibility of receiving more cases.
