4 Libyan pilgrims have died in Mina stampede near Mecca in Saudi Arabia, the Libyan Pilgrims Affairs Office has officially declared.

Omran Bashir from the central region, Al-Zahra Al-Sharani, Aisha Al-Dawi and Yousif Al-Taweel from Nafousa Mountain, were killed when two groups of pilgrims walking towards the Jamarat pillars met at the junction of Street 204 and Street 223 in the Mina tent city.

The office also confirmed that 10 Libyan pilgrims are still missing and 3 others were found safe at the Emergency Department in Mina.

Meanwhile, the Saudi authorities have said that the death toll from the stampede has risen to 769.
