"The release comes at the recommendation of the Supreme Council of Judiciary in order to decrease the number of prisoners to avoid crowds." The Ministry of Justice said on Facebook.

The Ministry added that this is the first step in a series of measures that aim to decrease crowdedness in prisons as more details about cases eligible for release, in addition to the Supreme Council of Judiciary's plan to pardon convicts who did half their time in jail, old people and persons with health problems.
