The African Union’s Peace Governor, Ismaiel Sharqi, said the Supreme Committee that was formed by the AU from a number of African presidents will head to Libya’s Tripoli and Tobruk cities to discuss national reconciliation.

Talking to the Algerian News Agency in Oran on Monday, Sharqi added that the date of the visits will be declared soon, adding that those visits will be a reactivation of the committee that was firstly formed in 2011 during the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa amid the then ongoing Libyan revolution.

“The AU has never stopped working on finding a political solution for the Libyan crisis, which has affected many regional countries besides Libya.” Sharqi remarked, saying they held a preparatory meeting on November 08 when they established for the upcoming visits.
