Muhammad Menfi, Head of the Presidential Council (PC), received on Tuesday the Chief of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Haddad.

A statement by the PC media office said Al-Haddad briefed Menfi -in his capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Army on his recent visit to Benghazi.

He informed him of the steps taken to unify the military establishment, in addition to the security developments in the country in general.

Last Thursday, Al-Haddad arrived in Benghazi, where he met his counterpart in the eastern region, Abdel-Razek Al-Nadhouri, for a new round of talks to complete steps to unifying the military institution.

The two sides also discussed other related issues, including unifying the salaries of military members, mechanisms for forming a joint military force, and ways to support the work of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee.
