The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir, met Thursday with his Deputy and "Governor of parallel CBL in eastern region" Ali Al-Hibri in Tripoli after the delivery of Deloitte auditing report of the two CBL seats in Tripoli and Al-Bayda.
The CBL said the meeting between Al-Kabir and Al-Hibri was the first since 2014 and it came as part of efforts to unify the CBL.
The two top financial personalities attended a meeting with the Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, Head of Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, his deputies Abdullah Al-Lafi and Mossa Al-Koni, UN envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, and a number of officials, during which the auditing report was delivered.
Menfi and his deputies met with Al-Kabir and Al-Hibri after the end of auditing report ceremony as the Presidential Council's spokesperson said they had reiterated readiness to go over the recommendations of the report and work on unifying the CBL, adding that they had agreed to hold periodical meetings for the board of directors.
