Member of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, has agreed with the deputy head of Sudan's Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, to start bilateral meetings to address the issue of Sudanese migrants stranded in Libya and return them to their country.

This came during their meeting on Tuesday, in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, during which they discussed a number of common files between the two countries, including securing the borders and the flow of illegal migration, in addition to the file of mercenaries and foreign militants.

For his part, Daglo stressed the importance of protecting the two countries' borders from the phenomenon of illegal migration, by finding practical mechanisms to limit its flow, considering that the migration file constitutes a common concern between the two countries.

Al-Koni had started a working tour to a number of countries, including Sudan, Chad, Niger and Mali.
