Member of the Constituent Assembly for Drafting the Constitution, Dau Al-Mansouri, has said that there will be no elections while Speaker of the House of Representatives Aqila Saleh and Head of the High Council of State Khaled Al-Mishri are involved in the political scene, adding that Cairo Declaration is just a bubble that has no value and will not find its way to implementation on the ground.

‘Aqila and Al-Mishri are seeking to extend for themselves at the expense of the people's aspirations to hold elections,’ Al-Mansouri stated in a press statement.

‘Al-Mishri is talking about a referendum to resolve the controversy over the two points of disagreement between the two houses, yet the draft constitution is shelved,’ he added.

Al-Mansouri went on to say that ‘Aqila controls the judiciary, and knows that he has no chances, if he hands over power and seeks re-election, the draft constitution ends transitional stages and excludes Aqila and Al-Mishri, so they seek to shelve the constitution,’ as he put it.
