The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj has voiced full support for the work of anti-corruption, administrative control and audit bureau officials and their joint efforts to investigate and inspect corruption and wasting public funds at the state institutions.

The media office of Al-Sarraj said the meeting Saturday resulted in agreeing on activating the financial disclosure system for state officials and corporate governance, adding that Al-Sarraj voiced support for the agreement among the anti-corruption, audit bureau and administrative control authority for a national team to fight corruption in the country.

Al-Sarraj issued later a statement urging all state ministries and institutions to cooperate with the anti-corruption, administrative control authority, and audit bureau's team.

The meeting and subsequent decisions come after the public dismay at the performance of GNA and their inability to provide basic services like water and electricity to the people as well as their mediocre response to the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to the corruption in state institutions.
