Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra has affirmed his country's continuing support for the Libyan people to advance the priorities of the current stage, stressing the need for a comprehensive national reconciliation to flip the page of division and conflict.
The media office of the Presidential Council (PC) said Wednesday that its head received Lamamra on Tuesday in the presence of Libya's representative to the United Nations, Al-Taher Al-Sunni, at the headquarters of the Libyan mission in New York.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed prospects for cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries.
The PC Head, Muhammed Menfi, praised Algeria's stances in supporting the Libyan political dialogue and national reconciliation efforts to solve Libya's conflict.
The meeting also touched on several Arab and international issues of common interest, according to the PC media office.
