The Algerian Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamra, said his country reiterates its rejection of any foreign military intervention in Libya, which stems directly from Algeria’s constants, indicating that such an intervention will cause an uncontrollable chaos and stark destruction in Libya.

“We utterly reject any intervention as Libyans are far better off without it.” FM Lamamra said.

In a joint presser with the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, FM Lamamra reaffirmed that a political and peaceful solution is needed to resolve the Libyan intricate crisis, reiterating Algeria’s support for the UN missions pertaining to this issue.

Algeria has always been a supporter of urging the Libyan conflicting parties to reach a common ground that would save their country any foreign intervention, which it has rejected time and time again.
