The Algerian Foreign Minister, Sabri Boukadoum, and Interior Minister, Kamel Beldjoud, have arrived in Libya’s capital, Tripoli, with a high profile delegation and are expected to hold discussions on bilateral relations and issues of joint interest.

The Algerian delegation was received in Tripoli by the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, in Tripoli, where they held a meeting to touch upon the latest developments on the political level and the issues of joint interest.

After meeting Menfi, the Algerian delegation met with the Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mishri, and other HCS officials and discussed the latest developments in the political process and reiterated support for the new executive authority in Libya.

Al-Mishri and the Algerian Foreign and Interior Ministers as well as the accompanying delegation reviewed bilateral relations on security, economic and political levels and the ways to support the Government of National Unity in its work to implement the roadmap of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum to hold general elections in December.
