The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, received on Thursday a copy of the credentials of Algeria’s new ambassador to Libya, Abdelkrim Rekibi, marking the beginning of his diplomatic mission in the country.

Al-Baour welcomed the Algerian ambassador and expressed his wishes for success in fulfilling his duties, according to a statement published by the Foreign Ministry on its Facebook page.

He emphasized the deep-rooted and strong relations between Libya and Algeria and reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to strengthening prospects for joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields.

Al-Baour also highlighted the Foreign Ministry’s readiness to provide all necessary support and facilitation to enable the ambassador to carry out his duties effectively, contributing to further coordination and integration in bilateral relations.

The ceremony was attended by the Director of the Arab Affairs Department and the Director of the General Protocol Department at the ministry.
