The Ambulance and Emergency Apparatus announced on Saturday that it had handed over a fully-fledged field hospital to support Tarhouna citizens affected by the floods in the wake of heavy rainfall.
The Apparatus said that the handover process came upon instructions from Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, explaining that the hospital contained intensive care and shelter.
The Ministry of Social Affairs in the Government of National Unity launched, at dawn on Saturday, a humanitarian aid convoy and a specialized team for psychological and social support toward Tarhouna. The convoy included basic needs, such as mattresses, blankets, cleaning materials, heaters, and supplies for children and people with disabilities.
The Ambulance and Emergency Apparatus announced earlier finding the body of one of its members who had been missing since Friday in Bani Walid named Haitham Al-Ayhouri," explaining that he died after being swept away by floods while he was supporting Tarhouna locals and helping them evacuate families. The Apparatus had previously mourned its member Malek Al-Dubaib, after he was also swept away by floods in Wadi Washtana while heading to the city of Tarhouna.
