On Saturday, the Arab Parliament stressed the necessity of advancing parliamentary and presidential elections in Libya and fulfilling delayed commitments to bolster security and stability across the nation.

The call emerged during the fifth and final general session of the fourth legislative term of the Arab Parliament, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. The session included participation from several members of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR).

The assembly also addressed the pressing issues in Arab nations, with a significant focus on the Palestinian plight, condemning the severe acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing endured by the Palestinian people. The Arab Parliament reiterated its support for the Palestinian cause and their legitimate rights.

The session further examined the alarming developments in Sudan, underlining the threats posed to Sudan's resources, security, stability, and territorial integrity, alongside the broader implications for Arab national security.

Moreover, the Arab Parliament underscored the importance of achieving a final and comprehensive political resolution to the Yemeni crisis to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
