A group of gunmen attacked Saturday dawn Bridge 166 camp of Khalifa Haftar's forces in Sabha, southern Libya, leaving 9 fighters killed, according to sources from the city.

Sabha medical center confirmed that it had received 9 bodies after the reported attack on Brigade 166, saying there were no injuries.

"We have received 9 bodies, some killed by gunshots and one with a decapitated head." Spokesman for Sabha medical center Osama Al-Wafi told Libya Al-Ahrar TV Channel.

In the meantime, the commander of South Protection Force of the Presidential Council Hassan Mousa accused Khalifa Haftar of being behind the reemergence of terrorists and chaos in the south because of his war on Tripoli.

Sabha's municipality condemned the attack and called it a terrorist one, urging in a statement Haftar's forces to appoint a force to secure vital institutions in the south.

This attack is not the first in southern Libya since the takeover of Haftar's forces in the region. Ghadwa and Al-Fuqhaa towns were both subject to attacks claimed by ISIS.
