The Audit Bureau has reached an agreement with Italy’s Court of Auditors to enhance financial oversight and transparency through joint training programs and workshops.

The deal was struck during a visit by a Libyan delegation led by Audit Bureau President Khaled Shakshak to Rome.

According to a statement released on Thursday, the agreement aims to improve institutional efficiency and combat corruption through knowledge exchange and capacity-building initiatives.

Discussions also covered strengthening financial oversight mechanisms and fostering closer ties between the two institutions.

The head of Italy’s Central Authority for Legitimacy Control reaffirmed the country’s commitment to supporting Libya’s efforts by providing technical and training assistance.

He emphasized the importance of international cooperation in ensuring financial sustainability and effective auditing practices.
