Bahrain's Minister of Social Development, Osama Al-Alawi, has expressed interest in leveraging Libya's expertise in grant and marriage programs while fostering the exchange of knowledge between the two nations in social affairs.

The announcement came during a meeting on Thursday in Manama with Wafaa Al-Kilani, Libya's Minister of Social Affairs in the Government of National Unity.

According to a statement from the Libyan Ministry of Social Affairs, the discussions focused on strengthening joint social cooperation and exploring avenues to enhance social development efforts. The meeting was part of broader efforts to deepen ties between Bahrain and Libya.

Minister Al-Kilani thanked Bahrain for hosting the 44th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in social work and integration among Arab states. She praised the council’s significant role in advancing sustainable development in the region.

The two sides concluded the meeting by agreeing to form a technical team tasked with drafting a joint cooperation memorandum. The agreement aims to achieve mutual objectives and bolster developmental and social initiatives.
