The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashaga, has declared that France had a clear shift in its policy towards Libya.

In an interview with Tunisian Radio ‘Mosaique FM’, on Wednesday, Bashaga stated that France has been supporting Haftar, both politically and militarily, which is deemed unacceptable, however, there seems to be a change in the French position.

He added that it would appear that France has ceased its support for Haftar militarily; however, it continued to support him politically, which has lent way to the restoration of dialogue between both countries on the basis of common interests.

Bashaga also revealed that he intends to visit France during the month of March to sign agreements.
