The candidate for the position of Prime Minister, Fathi Bashagha, has pledged not to run in the upcoming presidential elections, stressing that he would consider any minister in his government who intends to do so as independent.

During the presentation of his program before the House of Representatives (HoR), Bashagha stressed the commitment to the time periods stipulated in the road map and work to end the transitional stages and prepare for the elections.

He indicated that no achievement will be achieved without the support of the HoR, the state and citizens, stressing that the government's goals are to unify institutions, especially the military and security, praising the distinguished role of the Joint Military Commission 5 + 5 to unify the military institutions.

“Everyone suffers from the deterioration of public services in terms of health and electricity and the decline of the educational process”, he added, stressing that what Libya lacks is political reconciliation based on true national participation.
