A number of Benghazi displaced persons held a protest in front of the UN headquarters in Tripoli on Tuesday to denounce the UN silence toward the violations in their city, Benghazi.

The protesters have also decried the systematic violations of human rights in Benghazi, calling on the international community to intervene and stop those crimes committed by rogue Gen. Khalifa Haftar’s forces for more than a year now.

Thousands of people have already fled the city following the outbreak of Dignity Operation war in the city in May 2014. Local residents who have anti-Dignity Operation views were either killed or arrested while their houses were set aflame.
