The British Foreign Minister, Boris Johnson, has arrived today in Tripoli with an accompanying delegation and they were received by the Libyan Foreign Minister of the UN-proposed government, Mohammed Sayala and other officials.

The British FM met the Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sirraj, and he reiterated Britain's support for the Libyan Political Agreement.

"This visit reflects our country's concern regarding finding a way out for Libya from its current political and economic dilemma, and I hail Al-Sirra's efforts in bringing accord among Libyan parties." Mr. Johnson remarked.

Al-Sirraj reviewed the mutual cooperation in fields like health, education, energy and infrastructure, proposing founding a program for study scholarships for Libyan graduates in British educational institutions.

The British FM also met with the Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Abdelrahman Al-Sweihli, discussing creating an environment for more reconciliation among Libyan conflicting parties so that a dialogue can begin bringing the HCS and the Tobruk-based House of Representatives together even by two committees of representatives, according to the HCS's media office.

Mr. Johnson also visited the headquarters of the Illegal Immigration Fight Center in Al-Sika road in Tripoli meeting officials, who explained to him the mechanism of dealing with the big numbers of migrants and the available potentials they have amidst this challenging phenomenon.

The British FM met a number of illegal immigrants and talked with them about the conditions of their arrest and the life they are leading in the shelter centers in Tripoli.

After finishing his Tripoli formal visit, Mr. Johnson took a flight to Tobruk, eastern Libya, on Thursday evening to meet with the Speaker of the HoR, Aqilah Saleh, in what appears to be the UK's intention to have inclusive discussions with all the Libyan conflicting parties on the political scene.
