Member of the General National Congress, Abdulrahman Al-Swaihli, a member in negotiating team, said Friday the GNC had not taken part in the UNSMIL-facilitated meeting of Libyan parties in Tunisia on Friday.

"The Friday meeting in Tunisia is an unprecedented step that had never occurred throughout the previous dialogue rounds."’ Said Al-Swaihli.

Al-Swaihli confirmed that the GNC is working to reach a balanced political solution that represents the will of Libyan people away from negative foreign interventions.

He urged the Libyan political parties to put forward the supreme interest of the country and keep away from personal disputes, which resulted in more division and differences, calling on them to find other tracks to the Libyan dialogue.
