The Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has approved 14 national strategies prepared by the National Council for Economic and Social Development during the first session of the Libyan Economic Forum.

These strategies relate to "reforming and developing the urban planning system, reforming and developing the transportation sector, the national strategy for water security, the national strategy for digital transformation, the national framework for future skills and jobs, reforming and developing the industrial sector (towards cleaner production), and mineral resources management," according to a statement by the council on its Facebook page on Thursday. 

It also includes: the national strategy for developing the oil and gas sector, managing electricity and renewable energy, economic diversification policies, developing the insurance sector in Libya, regulations for public-private partnership contracts, emerging projects and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship, and reforming and improving the business environment.

The council stated that it will publish details of the strategies on its website in due course.
