The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, discussed with the Deputy Head of the Presidential Council, Mossa Al-Koni, and the Interior Minister, Khalid Mazen, as well as the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumua, the latest developments about the escape of illegal immigrants from Ghout Al-Shaal detention center in Tripoli.

The Interior Minister talked about the measures taken by his ministry to tackle the issue, denying that there were lots of deaths as reported in the news, confirming that there were one death only that took place accidently as they fled the detention center.

Dbeibah said the details of the incident and measures taken by the state security apparatuses must be made public for Libyans and the world.

The Chief of Mission for IOM in Libya, Federico Soda, said six immigrants of African nationalities were killed by Libyan guards at detention centers in Tripoli, while the Deputy Minister of Interior, Bashir Al-Ameen, confirmed that illegal immigrants fled Ghout Al-Shaal detention center.
