Dbeibah

‎Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah approved the National Food Security Strategy 2025-2035, prepared by the National Council for Economic and Social Development, during a ceremony held in Tripoli on Sunday.

Dbeibah has explained that food security is a top national priority, as it is a fundamental pillar of economic and social stability, noting that this strategy comes in response to the major challenges facing Libya.

He stressed that the Government of National Unity is committed to providing the necessary resources and support to implement this strategy, which aims to enhance local production, achieve food self-sufficiency, and build a sustainable food system.

Dbeibah called for concerted efforts between all government and private sectors to ensure the realization of the vision of the future strategy and to transform it into a tangible reality.

Last June, a meeting held at the headquarters of the National Council for Economic and Social Development in Tripoli discussed the final draft of the National Food Security Strategy 2025-2035.

Hokoometna Media Platform has said that the National Food Security Strategy includes 174 projects and 65 programs distributed over four main axes: providing food, access to food, benefiting from food, and achieving stability.

The strategy's launching ceremony was attended by the Head of the High Council of State, Mohammed Takala, the Minister of Finance, Khalid Al-Mabrouk, the Chairman of the National Council for Economic and Social Development, and a number of international and local specialists.
