Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has approved a project to develop and improve the center of Tripoli, the streets linking to it, and its waterfront.

The decision came in a meeting for Dbeibah and a number of his government ministers with the Mayor of Central Tripoli Municipality, Ibrahim Al-Khulaifi, the Vice President of the Administrative Facilities Development Authority and a number of engineers working on the project.

The project included improving the fronts of buildings and returning them to their original shape, adding trees, installing street furniture in line with the identity of the city, and removing innovations on buildings such as electrical wires, air conditioning, and random billboards according to appropriate quick solutions.

"Tripoli has its own distinct identity at the level of capitals in the world. There's a need to return the spirit of the city by developing its center." Dbeibah said.
