Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dbeibah directed on Monday Minister of Local Government, Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, to start disbursing development allocations to municipalities that meet the conditions, with the need for all state agencies to work to support decentralization.

This came during their meeting to follow up the measures taken by the Ministry of Local Government to start disbursing local development allocations to municipalities, according to a statement posted on the government's Facebook page.

Al-Toumi presented a report on the procedures followed by the Ministry for disbursement, the most important of which is the financial and technical settlement of municipal allocations for 2021, and identifying the targeted projects for 2023 with the aim of ensuring that they do not duplicate with the projects of the executive agencies.

He confirmed that 69% of the municipalities have fulfilled the due process in this regard, and adhere to the Prime Minister’s circular regarding the need for transparency in selecting implementing contractors.
