February 17 Revolution

Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah inaugurated Martyrs’ Square and a newly developed digital fountain in the capital, Tripoli, on Monday evening.

The reopening follows extensive maintenance and redevelopment efforts and coincides with the 14th anniversary of the February 17 Revolution.

The ceremony featured an aerial drone show showcasing several key infrastructure projects under the Return to Life initiative.

Among the highlighted projects were the Third Ring Road, Tripoli International Airport, and new residential housing developments.

Dbeibah joined citizens in marking the occasion, which included a Light Parade with Quran school students, as well as military and police displays. A segment titled One Libya emphasized national unity, celebrating the country’s diverse regions and cities.

Senior government officials, diplomats, and families of revolution martyrs and the wounded attended the event, paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives during the uprising.
