The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul Hamod Dbeibah, briefed the German special envoy to Libya, Christian Buck, about his vision of the constitutional basis for holding elections, calling for including Libya in any international meetings related to the crisis.

The GNU media office said the two sides discussed in Tripoli the importance of a political roadmap for elections that is supported by the international community, as Dbeibah reiterated the need for solutions to be stemming from the will of Libyans who wish to hold elections as soon as possible and end transitional periods.

Dbeibah told the German envoy about his vision of the constitutional basis necessary for holding elections, stressing the need to set a timeline for issuing the constitutional basis or to go in alternative paths so that the elections don't get delayed. He also stressed the need not to include detailed rules to fit a person to prevent or enable them from taking part in the vote.
