Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah met with Japanese Ambassador Shimura Izuru on Sunday to discuss strengthening ties between Libya and Japan. 

The meeting focused on boosting economic cooperation, with a particular emphasis on development opportunities.

Key points included discussions on training and capacity building to enhance the skills of Libyan professionals and drawing on Japan's expertise. 

The meeting highlighted the importance of Japanese companies resuming operations in Libya, especially in the oil sector, which plays a critical role in Libya’s economic growth.

They also explored plans to host a Libyan-Japanese business forum in the near future, aiming to bring together public and private sectors from both countries to promote economic collaboration and enhance trade relations.
