Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah launched the completion project of the "Zumurrud Investment Mall" in the Airport Road area on Wednesday, stressing that it must be completed within the scheduled 17-month time frame.

According to a statement from his media office, Dbeibah stressed the importance of completing the project with high standards that enhance the country’s commercial and administrative infrastructure.

The project covers a total built-up area of 280,000 square meters, distributed between a 135,000-square-meter commercial complex and a 145,000-square-meter administrative complex, along with 85,000 square meters of leasable spaces.

The mall will feature 265 retail stores of various sizes, 11 modern cinema halls, 24 bowling lanes, a giant aquarium, a food court, family and children’s entertainment areas, shared business spaces, outdoor sports fields, and parking facilities for 1,200 vehicles, including 200 indoor and 1,000 outdoor spaces.

Dbeibah toured the project site alongside the foreign company responsible for its construction, reviewing the execution details and upcoming phases of work. He also listened to project managers, who reaffirmed that the mall’s completion would follow an investment framework that supports the local economy and creates new job opportunities. They also noted that the project’s relaunch coincided with the opening of a dedicated sales center to provide services and facilities for investors interested in benefiting from the mall’s amenities.

The Prime Minister stressed that the government would monitor the project’s progress to ensure its completion on schedule and according to the highest standards, highlighting the role of large-scale investments in developing the country’s economic infrastructure.
