Dbeibah

‎The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah stressed, during a meeting with the acting UN envoy Stephanie Koury, the need to respect the political agreement and the institutions emanating from it to ensure the achievement of justice and political stability.

Dbeibah received Koury Sunday and reaffirmed his full support for the efforts of the UN mission to move the political process forward, ensuring access to elections, ending the transitional stages, and moving directly towards the electoral entitlement.

Koury provided a briefing on her participation in the recent London meeting, explaining what was discussed in terms of research papers and analytical contributions, with the participation of local and international experts to strengthen the political and economic tracks in Libya.

Koury hailed the government's efforts in supporting the last municipal elections, stressing the importance of continuing this support and coordination with the High National Elections Commission regarding the municipal entitlements scheduled for 2025, Dbeibah's media office said.

It added that the meeting discussed mechanisms to stop parallel spending during 2025, and work to find a unified spending mechanism that ensures financial transparency and fair distribution of resources.
