Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah has held talks with US Special Envoy to Libya, Ambassador Richard Norland, on Washington’s approach to developments in the country and the wider region.

The meeting, which took place in Tripoli on Tuesday, was also attended by US Chargé d’Affaires Jeremy Berndt, along with senior Libyan officials, including Transport Minister Mohamed Al-Shahoubi and Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi.

According to a statement from the Libyan government, discussions focused on political and economic cooperation, financial governance, and concerns over foreign military presence in Libya.

Dbeibah stressed the importance of strengthening US-Libyan ties, particularly in economic reforms and transparency.
