Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh emphasized during a meeting the necessity of addressing the challenges facing the general electricity network in Benghazi, where recurrent outages have been reported.
The discussion, which involved the acting Chairman of the General Electricity Company and various directors and department heads, specifically focused on the condition of the network in Benghazi.
He also highlighted the importance of identifying the difficulties encountered by the network in several southern municipalities in the company's 2024 plan.
During the meeting, Dbeibeh issued instructions to prioritize the commencement of the construction plan for the general network in the Municipality of Murzuq and its vicinity, recognizing the fundamental role of electricity in revitalizing the city and benefiting its inhabitants.
He underscored the necessity of enhancing coordination with the Ministry of Local Government to facilitate the provision of resources for the reconstruction of the network in Murzuq and to initiate the restoration of the general network.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dbeibeh expressed his gratitude to all the technical and administrative staff of the general electricity network for their efforts in ensuring network stability during peak summer periods.
He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to address intermittent outages in various areas.
