Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh met with Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, on Wednesday in Cairo to discuss various issues focused on supporting local and international efforts to conduct parliamentary and presidential elections under agreed laws.
They also discussed enhancing the role of the Arab League in the Libyan political file and increasing cooperation between the League and Libya.
According to the PM's media office, the meeting, held at the Arab League headquarters, reviewed the participation of Libyan government institutions in Arab League activities and the League's role in supporting Libya's stability across various aspects.
The discussions also touched on unifying the Arab stance to halt Israeli violations in Gaza, supporting the Palestinian people, and providing them with necessary aid.
Following the meeting, Dbeibeh toured the Arab League premises, where he received a briefing from the Secretary-General about its components and history.
