A delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity, headed by the head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Major General Mahmoud Al-Ajili, began a working visit to Turkey on Monday, where they were received by the Deputy General Forces of the Turkish Gendarmerie, Lieutenant General Hussein Kurtoglu, and a number of senior Turkish officials.

The Ministry of Interior has said on its Facebook page that the visit comes within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed with the Libyan Ministry of Interior to enhance cooperation in the fields of law enforcement and training.

The ministry explained that the delegation headed immediately upon its arrival to the headquarters of the General Command of the Gendarmerie at the Turkish Ministry of Interior, where a meeting was held to discuss ways to enhance security cooperation between the two countries and advanced training programs.

It added that the Libyan delegation visited the operations room, the monitoring center, and training centers for tracking dogs and horses, the Department of Combating Cybercrime and Cybersecurity, and forensic laboratories, within the framework of enhancing joint cooperation.

The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity signed three memoranda of understanding with the Turkish Ministry of Interior in the fields of training, rehabilitation, security cooperation, and law enforcement.
