The Deputy Defense Minister Abdulsalam Zoubi plans to visit Washington, D.C., to participate in the 2025 Special Operations Week.
According to government sources, Zoubi received an official invitation from the US Department of Defense to attend the events scheduled to take place in Tampa, Florida, from May 5 to May 8.
During the visit, Zoubi is expected to hold several important meetings with officials from the US Departments of Defense and State, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchange expertise in defense and security fields, the sources said.
The program, according to the source s, will include strategic discussion sessions, bilateral meetings, and visits to a technology exhibition showcasing the latest advancements in defense industries.
The sources added that participation in this security event aims to strengthen international partnerships and enhance Libya’s capabilities as part of national efforts to safeguard sovereignty and confront security challenges.
