The Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohammed Issa, praised the Serbian embassy's reopening in Tripoli at the end of April as a significant step towards strengthening diplomatic relations and facilitating communication between Libya and Serbia.

During a meeting on Wednesday with the accredited Serbian Ambassador to Libya, Dragan Todorović, Issa discussed bilateral relations, development mechanisms, and the activation of mutual agreements.

Issa emphasized the depth of historical relations between Libya and Serbia, stressing Libya's commitment to strengthening and developing mutual cooperation in various fields to serve the common interests of both nations.

He highlighted the importance of a recent agreement signed between the Libyan Diplomatic Institute and the Serbian Diplomatic Academy on October 16, 2022, aimed at enhancing cooperation in diplomatic training and the exchange of expertise.

Meanwhile, the Serbian ambassador reiterated his country's commitment to strengthening relations with Libya and supporting efforts to achieve stability and build a strong democratic state.

It may be worth noting that the Serbian ambassador presented his credentials to the President of the Presidential Council last Saturday, June 29.
