An official at the Government of National Unity office in Benghazi has confirmed that the First Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein Al-Qatrani, will return to Tripoli by next week.

Salah Al-Ghazali, Director of the Information Office of the GNU office in Benghazi, denied, in a press statement that the issue of Al-Qatrani not carrying out his duties from Tripoli was an interruption from work, but he continued to operate from the government's HQ in Benghazi, as he put it.

Al-Ghazali said that the dispute between PM Abdul Hamid Dbeibah and First Deputy Al-Qatrani was due to what he described as an unfair distribution of jobs between the three regions, slow implementation of projects, and failure to give powers to the two deputy prime ministers.

He revealed that some parties mediated to resolve the problems between the prime minister and the first deputy, including the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and several members of the House of Representatives.
