Derna Shura Council applauds applying Sharia laws to State’s governing system
Derna Shura Council issued a statement Saturday to praise the role played by committee appointed by the General National Congress to amend Libyan laws according to Islamic Sharia ones, whose results were presented to the public in the ceremony of the fifth anniversary of February revolution last Tuesday.
“Islamic Sharia laws have been put to work and are no longer words on paper and slogans to chant.” The statement explained, adding that February revolution has brought the demise of slogans and thus activated the exacting of rectitude and discarding of wrongfulness.
The Council also reaffirmed that its fighters will be loyal to whoever starts applying Sharia laws to the state regulations and makes them the only source for legislation as well as remove all other laws that oppose Islamic Sharia.
“February revolution triumphed over tyranny by “Allah Akbar” that is why it should glorify the Sharia laws of Allah and help the tyrannized people across the country. It is guarded by Allah’s mercy against the oppressors who wanted to steal it under the pretext of building security institutions.” The statement concluded.
