The self-proclaimed military governor of east Libya Abdul-Razzaq Al-Nadori revealed Saturday that a number of officers in Khalifa Haftar-led armed forces are betraying the army, saying they would be suppressed if they move against it.
“We don’t want to name them, but we are watching them and we will arrest them in the coming days,” Al-Nadori says in a footage posted on social media.
He indicated that they are still building their army and it is not time of betrayal and stabbing in the back.
“Anyone who do not wish to join us, let him go away from us, let him go to Sirraj or any place he wants,” Al-Nadori says in a hint that the betrayers are supporters of UN-proposed Presidency Council.
He was addressing a number of Dignity Operation officers during his inauguration of the Department of Public Accounts of Dignity Operation in Marj town where he announced a pay raise for the operation’s military officers to lure them.
The new pay scale ranges from LYD 1000 to LYD 5000 a month for all Dignity Operation personnel in Libya.
