The visiting Egyptian delegation, headed by the secretary of Egyptian Foreign Minister, said in a meeting with the Interior Minister of the Government of National Accord, Fathi Bashagha, that practical steps toward reopening embassy in Tripoli had already started.

The delegation and Bashagha discussed the reopening steps as the Egyptians reiterated Cairo's keenness on Libya's stability and security, adding that security conditions in Tripoli as well as other cities were promising contrary to what some media outlets had been saying.

In the meantime, the Interior Minister, Bashagha, informed the Egyptian delegation members that his Ministry was ready to boost cooperation with Egypt for the benefit of both countries.

The Egyptian delegation arrived Monday in Tripoli and discussed with the Foreign Minister, Mohammed Sayala, the preparations for reopening Cairo's embassy in Tripoli.

Sayala said his Ministry would provide all necessary assistance to the Egyptian delegation to reopen their embassy in Tripoli, while both parties expressed interest in boosting bilateral relations in different areas.
