The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, vowed Wednesday to support the new executive authority in Libya, congratulating in two separate phone calls the Head of Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, and Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, on their election, the Egyptian Presidency reported.

El-Sisi told Menfi he hoped the new executive authority in Libya would pave the way for reviving the role of Libyan state institutions, saying Egypt would continue to support Libya in economic, security and military fields.

Menfi welcomed El-Sisi's gesture and said Libya had always appreciated relations with the neighboring country of Egypt, expressing keenness on increasing cooperation on different areas and regional issues.

El-Sisi also telephoned Dbeibah and expressed Cairo's readiness to help provide the necessary tools to Libyans to reach stability and security, while Dbeibah thanked the Egyptian President and voiced his keenness on boosting relations between the two countries in addition to increasing cooperation on different regional issues.
